Asım Usanmaz

Asım Usanmaz has 40 years of professional experience in customs and foreign trade legislation, customs law, authorized operator (AEO) practices, customs inspections. He provides services to companies that has intense foreign trade operations in different sectors.

He worked in the central organization of the customs administration between 1983-2009. He served as Customs Investigator between 1983-1993, Head of Department of General Directorate of Customs between 1993-2004, Deputy General Director of Customs between 2004-2009. In 1990, he was in England for one year as part of his professional studies. He worked as an authorized customs consultant in the private sector between 2009-2011, and between 2011-2022 he provided support to companies in customs consultancy, customs inspection and authorized economic operator certification in his own consultancy company. He has a book published under the name of Customs Consultancy and Authorized Customs Consultancy.

Asım Usanmaz started to work in BDO Istanbul office in 2022 and still continues his duty as BDO Turkey Consulting Partner.
